Proper feeding of hedgehogs.

Raising a hedgehog is a fun and challenging experience. Here are some basic guidelines to help you take good care of your hedgehog:

1. Choose the right variety
Common pet hedgehogs are usually African mini hedgehogs, and their characteristics and needs are understood.

2. Prepare your living environment
Cage: Choose a cage that is well ventilated and has enough space, at least 1.5 square meters.
Mattresses: Use non-toxic mattress materials such as paper shreds or sawdust, and avoid pine or cedar shreds.
Hiding Places: Provide hiding places, such as huts or tunnels, so your hedgehog feels safe.

3. Feeding
Staple food: Provide high-quality hedgehog-specific feed, and you can add some cat food as a supplement.
Fresh food: Fruits, vegetables, and insects (such as crickets) can be given occasionally, but be careful about the safety of the food and the amount of food you give.

4. Water
Provide fresh drinking water, preferably using a water bottle, and keep the water clean.

5. Daily care
Clean the cage: Clean the cage regularly to keep the environment clean and avoid odor and bacteria.
Social time: Interact with your hedgehog every day, but be patient, especially when it first arrives home, to allow it to acclimate.

6. Health Check
Check your hedgehog's health regularly, including its coat, eyes, and claws. If you notice anything unusual, consult your veterinarian immediately.

7. Safety precautions
Make sure the cage is away from direct light and loud noises.
Avoid exposing your hedgehog to other pets to prevent the spread of diseases.

8. Proper temperature
Hedgehogs need a warm environment, with the ideal room temperature being between 20°C and 25°C, and avoid temperatures below 15°C.

These are the basic breeding guidelines, I hope they can help you raise a hedgehog well!
